In what promises to be a stimulating and entertaining program, Consul General George Hisaeda will look beneath the surface of our mature Japan-U.S. partnership. He will offer his personal insights on the opportunities and challenges of Soft Power.
How are enterprising companies using innovative design to remain competitive? Why does Japan lag behind in Nobel Prizes and what can be done? What is the future of next generation hybrid and robotics technology? How can we boost our cultural sharing from Japanese cuisine to music?
Please join us for a PowerPoint presentation by Mr. Hisaeda. As a Japanese diplomat, he has devoted his career to bringing Japan and the United States closer together. Now in his fourth U.S. assignment, Mr. Hisaeda has served previously in Washington, D.C., New York City, and more recently in Atlanta as Consul General of Japan. Prior to assuming his Chicago post, the Consul General was Administrative Vice President of the Japan Foundation.
